The boys have, once again, provided a brief summary of their activities during the year rather than relying on us to make something up. We still haven’t had the results of those pesky DNA tests.

Ben and Donna

Another year already!

We had some sad news at the start of the year, when Donna's mum, Viola, passed away. Although she will be greatly missed, Donna was happy to have been able to spend a good deal of time with her in Florida, and to have been with her up to the end.

Donna continues to do well at Investor's Business Daily, where she is now editing the weekly real-estate section, in addition to her technology reporting work.

I've left Naughty Dog, and am now working for an internet start-up. A competitive and overcrowded industry, but I'm working with some smart folks - we'll see how it goes. Made it back to the UK for a terrific couple of weeks while between jobs. (I should quit more often).

Nick and Lucy

Nick and Lucy are still very content in Warwick; they have found ample opportunity to escape to interesting places and enjoy time together away from the daily grind.

Lucy joined Nick this year at Easter for the annual snowboarding trip to Norway, terrific weather, a huge dump of fresh powder and side splitting hilarity achieved with the aide of an inflatable sofa. (3 people spinning down a mountain side whilst comfortably seated does attract some odd looks).

In July Nick was persuaded to join forces with a client company of his and the new company is going from strength to strength. Nick has been able to develop a highly skilled design team and is enjoying cracking the whip.

October was dominated by Lucy and Nick's unforgettable trip to California for cousin Karin’s wedding. An opportunity to visit family and explore the highlights from Yosemite to the coast and from San Diego to Eureka.

Lucy continues to single-handedly run the UK oil industry, still from a convenient 3/4 of a mile down the road. Keiko has proven herself the master of all neighbourhood cats, having developed skills to rival the most advanced Ninjas.

It's all good.

Adam and Sugar

Well it's been a regular year of school although with a surprising number of breakthroughs in the resources department. I've managed to wangle new tables and chairs for the children and a computer with projector, amp, speakers and internet - now, that might not sound like much to crow about, but over here it's a real step forward and makes such a difference to the kids’ attention, interaction and interest. I've also been teaching myself some website design and really quite enjoying it. Who'd have thought that PHP could be so much fun?

Sugar continues to make astounding profits at her shop. She works constantly, but it's going really well and she loves the work, sleeping in and being her own boss. I look forward to retiring on the proceeds, becoming a kept man and having more to talk about next year.

We had an amazing 2 month holiday in the UK this summer getting under my parents’ feet, seeing old friends again and making up for 4 years worth of blagging lifts, sight seeing, lazy days and birthday meals - I think we still have some on credit surely.

Have a fantastic 2007 all. I will be marking Christmas by wearing a silly red hat in the classroom for a day.

Sadly, we lost Pippa early in the year and Molly took some time to adjust to being the only dog in the kennel. Now, however, she is back to her normal self and is exceedingly punctual when reminding you that it’s time for a walk or dinner – you could set your clock by her arrival to begin the nagging process.

SeamStress continues to go from strength to strength, Greg continues to pretend to work for Oxfordshire, Pen’s nephew Michael continues to make good progress in his apprenticeship, Pen’s folks continue to travel between Australia and the UK following the sun and we continue to enjoy ourselves probably more than we deserve.

And, in spite of everyone taking us seriously, we do have plenty of room and would love to hear that you are coming; just give us sufficient warning so that we can make alternative arrangements.
