As well as providing the outstandingly astute recommendation
of the Crabmill as a suitable venue, Nick very kindly agreed to act as chauffeur
for the evening. His friend Lucy very kindly agreed, after much persuasion,
to eat lots. |
| The arrival of the dessert menu caused considerable consternation.
Pete kept his menu close to his chest as he was anxious to know what Sue
had ordered hoping that if he asked nicely, he would be able to share. Sue,
however, was anxious to know what Nick recommended. |

Meanwhile, Adam's efforts to drink three pints of brandy
without spilling a drop or pausing for breath caused considerable amusement,
especially amongst the staff. |
