| Following the excesses of Easter and May, we decided to take ourselves in hand and participate in the Atkins diet with which some of you will be familiar. It was, of course, utterly unnecessary in Pen's case but Greg was in need of serious attention. Proud to say that we've lost 57 stone between us. Unfortunately, there have been so many occasions when it would have been impolite not to indulge ourselves that we've gained 57 stone between us but at least we are holding our own! |

At the end of the summer we were able to spend two magnificent weeks at the family homestead on glorious Lake George in upstate New York. We spent the first week with brother Steph and sister Susie and their kids and the second week we had an influx of British friends and acquaintances to entertain us as well as Penny's sister Judi from Toronto. Ben and Donna dropped in for a day or two as well. The weather was grand, the food was fantastic and the company was passable. And, as always, Sandy and Pam made us feel very welcome and treated us to some fabulous Lake George saunas. |
